May 31

Post 845, Day 150 of 2013
- and 881 days since I started this blog -

Daily Comment
In retrospect, May has been a month with more negatives attached to it than any I can remember in a long time. 

If good is up and bad is down, I started May 'way up.

As the month went on, I suffered real and potential financial losses, had a negative medical diagnosis that offset, and to a degree, obscured some accompanying positive progress, and, also to a degree, lost control of my weight.

Damn.

On the other hand, I got to play more gigs than I have in any month in recent memory, and established a new musical relationship and, just as or more importantly, a new friendship.

I ate some remarkable food, and had some memorable good times. 

I don't know what that says about balance, but the fact that I can write about all this, the good and the bad, and keep a neutral emotional state, that is pretty positive in itself.

At least, I'd like to think so.

Diet Comment
Again, not as much weight came off as I'd hoped. That little piece of cake, and, oh, yeah, the booze.


Food Log 
Breakfast
Skipped.

Lunch
Dal Tadka with scrambled eggs and spinach. Not shown: A slice of coconut Paleo bread and butter


Dinner
Organic, grass-fed ground beef with sauteed onions on coconut Paleo Bread accompanied by a salad of Spring Mix, baby spinach, cole slaw mix and balsamic vinaigrette.

Snack
Ezekiel Golden Flax sprouted grain cereal with blueberries, almond-coconut milk and stevia-inulin.

Liquid Intake   
   Coffee:  20 oz.   Water:  84+ oz.
