I was offended at being cut off at an open mic after two songs. The drummer in the set said it was only eleven minutes playing time.
I complained to the host, who said he thought we got more than twenty minutes, that both songs were very long. He said, "We're not shitheads, man!"
I still felt as though I had been 'dissed' and left.
Then, when I thought about it on the way home, I realized that, while the set wasn't very long, and I was used to four-song sets, it was impossible for the two songs we did to be only eleven minutes. It didn't seem like twenty, but... Well, maybe I was wrong about that, too.
I owe some people an apology.
