Diet Comment
With today's gain, this is my heaviest day of the year, heaviest month of the year, and, to be honest, I'm just a little disappointed with myself, for not doing a better job with my weight control. I came back from my winter travels at a great weight, and the chart tells the story of how I squandered this new bit of good health. The problem? Social stuff. I go out, get stoned, get hungry, eat restaurant food, desserts... and drink whiskey. I need to do better.

Vegetarian frittata (eggs, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, kale and spinach). Not shown: High-protein, low-carb tortilla with cream cheese and Everything but the bagel seasoning.

Dinner
11:05pm: Turkey salad (roasted turkey breast, shaved parmesan cheese, walnuts, arugula, cabbage, chard, kale, spinach and balsamic vinaigrette). A
 square of 84% Peruvian chocolate with nibs and sea salt. Butter pecan ice cream.

Diet Comment
I feel like I got away with something. Over the long weekend, during which I visited New York City and went to a reunion party in New Paltz, I ate like I was trying to gain weight, which, of course, I wasn't, I just didn't limit myself and really thought my weight would be higher today. This is probably the last such trip until the fall, and I expect to be back under two hundred pounds within a couple of weeks, but today I am planning on having something at the Maplewood Grill, so probably losses will start... soon.

5:45pm: A Quest bar and peanut butter.

Dinner

 squares of 84% Peruvian chocolate with nibs and sea salt.

Of course, last night I had the wonderful Buffalo shrimp at the Maplewood Grill, where I find myself one or two times every week (great open mics Monday and Tuesday), and my weight is up today. Predictable, if not absolutely inevitable. And, I'm going back tonight, promising not to eat anything there.

Vegetarian Sloppy Joe (Quorn Grounds (mushroom protein), Wegman's Grandpa's Sauce, kale, spinach, chia and hemp seeds) with shaved parmesan cheese on riced cauliflower with turmeric, nutritional yeast and seasonings.

11:15pm: Turkey roll-ups (roasted turkey breast, guacamole, greens and low-carb spinach tortillas) with parmesan crisps.

I can't believe I lost weight over the weekend! It's completely unexpected. I ate a lot of "healthy, wholesome" trail mix (healthy and wholesome because it used dark chocolate bits instead of M&Ms), drank every day, and had one meal out at a restaurant, which alone should have sent my weight up. But, glad that didn't happen, although I suspect it's due to being a little dehydrated at weigh-in..

Veggie and cheese omelet (eggs, cheddar cheese, kale, spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and tomatoes). Not shown: Low-carb spinach tortilla.

11:35pm: Second Nature Wholesome Trail Mix (nuts, dried fruit, dark chocolate).

Diet Comment
I managed to lose a pound-and-a-half over the course of the week, but it included two big spikes, and it is not down to last Friday's weight. I have been eating at restaurants three times as usual for the last three-four weeks, and that is responsible, I think, for the weight gain. I don't see gains when I eat my meals at home.
