Daily Comment
It is the Memorial Day weekend. I am driving down to the City to see my brother and some friends.

In every case, the visits were very enjoyable, the travelling was easy and with good weather and no incidents.

I ate with little thought to diet, and had some of the best food. Highlights were the best pastrami and the best brisket I've ever eaten, and home-cooked meals from friends Mark and Ilene and professional chef Regina - one of the best meals in recent memory.

I come back with a mission to lose weight, again.

Diet Comment
Over the course of the weekend, I ate, and ate, and ate. I had wonderful food the entire time, finally finishing up at home with an old favorite.

This is going to cost me - I fully expect my weight to be near or over its highest point this year. This weekend marks the beginning of a new weight loss push - we're past maintenance now. My new goal is to get back to 200 pounds by the end of the Summer.

Food Log
Breakfast
I had three different breakfasts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday: Ezekiel Golden Flax sprouted grain cereal with Blueberries, almond-coconut milk, and stevia-inulin blend on Saturday, a bacon-mushroom-spinach omelet with home fries and rye toast Sunday, and a sausage, mushroom and cheese omelet with home fries and rye toast on Monday.

Lunch
I had three different lunches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday: A bag of seeds, nuts and raisins on my drive down on Saturday. On Sunday, I took Andy and Dennie to David's Brisket House and had pastrami and brisket on rye with a little cole slaw - Wow!!!! the best ever! Monday, also on the road, I had most of a bag of Wholesome Medley - mixed nuts, dried cranberries, raisins, dark chocolate.

Dinner
Again, three dinners: Saturday, at Mark and Ilene's there was marinated roast chicken, sauteed kale, rice and beans, and a wicked chocolate cake for dessert. Sunday, at Harold and Regina's, salmon and soft-shell crabs, with a fabulous salad, that included greens and fruit, roasted root vegetables with pineapple and some luscious French pastries. That made Sunday one of the most satisfying culinary days in my life! Monday, I just had some Roasted turkey with home-made mayonnaise and cole slaw, and the rest of my Wholesome Medley.

What a weekend!

Liquid Intake
Lots of Coffee: Some Water;  Some wine and champaign.
