Good end to the week. After a rocky beginning, when I reached my highest weight in more than two years, I finished below Monday's weigh-in. That's a good thing.

I'm down on myself today - I totally blew it yesterday, after I set out to be very good. For one thing, every time I eat at one of my fav hangs, the Maplewood - the only one of my hangouts that serves good food - my weight is up the next day. Every time. For another, after finishing a reasonable after-jam dinner at home, I proceeded, based only on tiredness and stonedness, to eat a 6-ounce package of Swiss cheese. I woke up knowing I was heavier, but I was surprised by how much! I'm going to try, again, to be really good today. Really. Of course, we'll see how things go.

It is looking like September will be my heaviest month since November, 2020 - almost three years. It hurts to say that, but it must be said. The sad thing is that the first months of this year had the lowest monthly averages since I started tracking at the beginning of 2011.

10:05pm: Dal Tadka (lentil curry) with chopped kale and spinach, on riced cauliflower (with nutritional yeast) and celery with peanut butter, and dark chocolate.

Well, there it is: the highest weight since October, 2021. I'm appalled - unhappy with myself. I ate so much last night, consciously overeating. I gave in to compulsion. I must do better.

I don't know. It could, of course, be worse - it could be a gain. But, well, after two days (I didn't weigh myself yesterday, so there was no update), it is a loss - but I'm still carrying a bit too much weight.
