Checking out the link, it appeared that a pawn shop in Syracuse had, indeed, listed the amp and cover the day mine was stolen. It sold immediately.
I called the police - the officer who had taken my report would call me back.
I sent a note through eBay to the seller, telling him the amp he'd listed and sold looked like the amp I'd had stolen.
I looked up the name of the seller, and there was a pawn shop with a similar name.
I called and left a message.
The owner of the pawn shop called me back. He told me if the amp was mine, he would see the person who sold it to him go to jail. I said, if it was mine I could identify it, but I was waiting for a call from the police, and couldn't get over there until after work.
When I went, I saw an amp that could have been mine, but had been abused more than mine - in perfect shape - ever had. It was unidentifiable as mine.
Very disappointing. While I was inspecting the amp, the insurance company called. The loss will be somewhat mitigated.
I never did get a call back from the police.

How much do you pay for Paleo Bread? Is it worth it? I am glad you are getting reimbursed for the amp. Now you can get something bigger and better. Love you
ReplyDelete$10/loaf. At this price point, it is dramatically overpriced. Unfortunately, that is still as cheap as I can get it. Is it worth it? That depends. It is good, not great, and it is bread-like, not what I would consider a real bread. It is also frozen. It doesn't toast up like regular bread, the slices are very thin and small.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
As to the amp, an exact replacement has already been purchased. Bigger was not desirable, better was not necessary. I won't get all my money back, by a long shot - the insurance money (which will be less than 50% [possibly a lot less, I don't have an amount yet] of the replacement costs, when it comes) will just take away some of the sting. Everything I lost has already been replaced, I've already moved on.
