Daily Comment

I was exhausted today, and spent the relatively short time I was out of my bed just lolling around and catching up on DVRed TV stuff.

Then I went out for a double-dose of playing, which included a surprise-to-me birthday party for the 50th of the host band's guitar player, Morris Tarbell, one of the best guitarists in Syracuse, and, as the guitarist in the house band for the open mic I have spent the most time at, also the one I have the most playing time with. What a good time!

The celebration was unfortunate as far as my diet went, but I didn't give it a second thought.

Diet Comment
I was surprised to wake up feeling bloated and full, and don't understand why my eating, as much as it was off-plan and excessive quantity-wise, resulted in such a large weight-gain. After all, it was the only meal of the day. Go figure. But then I encountered an unexpected catered birthday party, and all bets were off. Sigh.

My plan was to eat only a protein bar after yesterday's excess and this morning's weight gain and bloated appetite loss. But then I ran into a catered party at my regular Sunday jam, and just threw in the towel of moderation, eating sausage and peppers, chicken riggies (baked rigatoni with tomato sauce, cheese and chicken), sauteed vegetables, boiled potatoes, pizza, nut mix, cookies, and, of course, birthday cake. Now that I type that all out and read it, I am ashamed of myself. Well, not really.

Late-night Snack
Another protein bar.

Liquid Intake   
   Coffee:  0 oz.   Water: 88+ oz. A shot of Jameson's Irish Whiskey.
