Daily Comment

Big weekend in store for me, began tonight with i am Fool playing at our home-base dive bar (Syracuse's answer to CBGB's) at a band-friend's CD release. 

I was there last night with my singer-songwriter-guitar slinging friend Chad to do some open mic - there was a good time. He laughed at the way I stopped to greet every person in the bar (at least the ones that didn't come up to me first). I actually did know every single person there, from the customers to the musicians, to the staff.

Chad and I (with some additional help from i am Fool's drummer John) are opening up Saturday's Festival in the Park, an i am Fool event with 10 bands, food and artist vendors, and a fireworks finale. This is the brain-child of the Fool's front-man J. Brazill. Originally a paying gig for the band, we put our money into sound for a bunch of bands.

Chad, John and I open just before Noon, and i am Fool's set will end around 8:30pm. There will be photos, and expect the next couple of blog posts to come later than usual (which, now that I think about it, is typical for the weekend posts).

Tonight was a little crazy. i am Fool ended up closing the show, so we finished at 2am instead of midnight. There was also an alcohol-promotion event and free drinks from Hooters-style 'hostesses'. Oooh-eee. They made me feel... old. 

And very tired.

Breakfast
A protein bar.

Lunch
cacao-kale-hemp-chia protein shake (Almond-coconut milk, kale, a large egg, raw organic cacao powder, hemp seeds, chia gel, whey powder (24g protein), cinnamon, psyllium and stevia-inulin blend).

Dinner
Italian-style chicken sausage with onions and peppers and cole slaw with coconut Paleo bread. A salad of Spring Mix greens, black beans and balsamic vinaigrette. A protein bar.

Snack
Ezekiel 4:9 Golden Flax sprouted grain cereal with blueberries, coconut sugar and almond-coconut milk. A protein bar

Liquid Intake   
   Coffee:  24 oz.   Water: 148+ oz.  A shot of 'Fireball' (we used to make these and call them 'Atomic Fireballs' vodka, cinnamon schnapps, and a little tabasco). Then, a couple of club sodas and a Jameson's to get the taste out of my mouth.
