Things always change, of course. There have been changes outside work, as well.
Changes with the music - I'm enjoying playing with more musicians, many of whom I didn't know before this past Summer. That's a bittersweet thing, because it was made possible by i am Fool's dysfunction last year.
Due mostly to J., the leader, needing to take time off for medical and personal reasons, the band was only active for half-to-two-thirds of the year - and I am calling active, getting together for two hours in a week.
But that's all good. My playing time, which I was complaining about some months back, is now at its peak.
There have been changes in my health status - weight up, now back down; getting diagnosed as diabetic (even though I continue to control my blood sugar adequately with only diet).
But here's how I feel about all these changes: They are productive. Yes, they largely have to do with responding to external stimuli, but the result of change has always, in the long run, benefited me.
Think Serenity Prayer.
