I didn't care for the Wallflowers much. I don't think Jacob Dylan is much of a performer, and his set was unexciting, boring. No connection with me, no connection with the audience. Like his father, he seems compelled to perform, and, like his father, he doesn't put out much while doing it, he just seems to be workmanlike. Uninspiring.
Counting Crows, on the other hand, played to the audience, got them involved. They were an excellent act. The sound in the convention space was good, but kind of flabby and indistinct, not good enough to let me get really involved in the instrumental merits of the individual musician's lines.
I went alone, but met some friends - it was a good time, a good night.
