Daily Comment
I had this thought about life in the United States of America:

This is a bad place to be dark-skinned, and it is an especially bad place to be poor. This country treats people non-white-skinned people, and people in less fortunate economic strata as though they were bad.

The Constitution says this is wrong, every religion says this is wrong. In this country, it is policy.

And, it is getting worse.

I thought electing a black president of the Democratic Party would make things better. It turned out pretty much the opposite, as this president is stacking up to be just as bad, and in some ways, even worse, than the last one.

I wouldn't have thought that was possible.

In this country, the people in power, the people who are wealthy, regard anyone that is not powerful or wealthy as an inconvenience.

About three hours after I wrote the above, I saw this:

  1. Don't worry! It's ALL RIGHT. Spinning wheel got to go round. As indicated in your statement:
"The Constitution says this is wrong, every religion says this is wrong. In this country, it is policy.", it seems to me that there are greater forces than human intentions at work, driving our societal dynamic and experience.

  2. I love you both. I am feeling good after getting a carotid ultrasound over with and no change since the last one.

  3. Also, you are not alone in your thinking. All around the world, including in the united states, people seem to be waking up to the injustices and cruelties that we senselessly and mindlessly enact upon ourselves. I am including the address of another documentary relevant to your commentary. You might enjoy it, as if you had the time! Anyway , here it is:

I find it a little to much "POWER TO THE PEOPLE" and "TAKE IT TO THE STREETS" for my views on how change happens. I think That as we individually realize Love, and compassion we will express them in all our active relationships and actions, with the results being fewer and fewer people succumbing to the selfish, violent, unjust, divisive coercions of our materialist society.
