Daily Comment

I woke up this morning angry with myself. Angry because I had caused myself pain. I had chosen a course of action which led directly to hurt.

Yesterday, when I fell, the following preceded that fall: I was offered to not have to carry the amp that I lugged, in order to not trip myself. The offerer was willing, because it was his house, he had boots (I hadn't realized how treacherous the path to his door was, and was in regular walking shoes). He said, "I don't mind, I have boots, I don't want you to fall and hurt yourself."

So today, I am mad at me for not heeding what was very good advice, and for the reason I didn't: Because I had made a mistake and brought down the wrong thing, the matching (but amp-less) speaker. My mistake, my bad, my trip up to the car with the wrong piece, and back with the right one, because...

I don't know. Pride? Foolishness? (Maybe the same thing). Or maybe, I just, somehow, needed to learn something, which I did. But it is a lesson I should have learned a while ago.

Except there are no "shoulds" only what is.

And today, I have pain. No, not enough to be worrisome. It isn't too bad, not even worth complaining about. 

But enough to make me mad at me.

There. Now I'm over it.

Diet Comment
Yesterday's one-meal aberration (I wasn't intending to fast, it just worked out that way) did produce a predictable weight loss, considering it was accompanied by a good amount of water intake and a good night's rest. On to today, which started off with a little pain from yesterday's slip, and caused me to take a sick day and go back to sleep. Hence, no breakfast.


Food Log

Lunch
Cocoa-kale-hemp-chia seed-protein shake: Almond milk, kale, cocoa, hemp seeds, a large egg, vanilla whey powder (24g protein),  cinnamon, vanilla and stevia-inulin blend.

Dinner
Natural turkey and wiild-caught salmon burgers with cole slaw, and a side of faux-mashed potatoes (cauliflower, ghee, butter, salt and pepper). Not shown: Spring Mix and baby spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

Snack
Hard-boiled eggs with home-made mayonnaise and guacamole.

Liquid Intake   
   Coffee:  30 oz.   Water:  64+ oz.

  1. Sorry you are hurt. It sounds like nothing bad- I am right?. There is an article in the times today about a 5 day eat/fast diet that has taken over England. Sound familiar? Love you
