I think I am normally very patient.

I have been told, in the business context, that I am too patient.

So, I'm not good at or for business. I can live with that.

What makes a person impatient? Uncertainty coupled with expectations about the future. Any time we have expectations, we are out of the moment, and living in the unknowable future.

At the moment, that describes me. I am waiting for the mastered tracks of i am Fool's new CD. I have to burn 50 copies by Sunday (there wasn't enough time to send them out for packaging). The sleeves are printed, waiting to be picked up and trimmed, cut and taped. Thank goodness, that isn't my job.

It takes about 6 minutes to burn a CD. If I got some smooth production going, it would take me five hours to burn 50 CDs. It will take longer. I'm anxious to get started.

But there's not one thing I can do to expedite the completion of the tracks for the CD. My part in their creation was completed almost a year ago.

So, I am impatient. I have a dependency I can't control.

So it goes.
