After an uneventful day at work, i am Fool played a gig at our more-or-less home at Mac's Bad Art Bar. The gig went well. We got great audience response and great reviews from some musicians who were there.

Midway through our first set, we were pronounced victors in a contest to play an opening set at the Palace Theater, which was a bucket-list dream of J., top Fool, and for that reason, and that reason only, I thought it was a worthy goal, and embraced the idea.

What was more interesting, and personally rewarding to me, than winning the contest was that a couple of my friends, whose nature is far, far more competitive than my own, took up the cause with a vengeance, and worked hard at it, investing far more time (and, in one case, real money) in winning the contest than I did.

It's good to have friends, especially those with talents you lack.

Food Log
Breakfast
Skipped, thanks to a problem at work which meant having to rush in early.

Cocoa-kale-hemp-chia seed-protein shake: Almond milk, kale, cocoa, hemp seeds, a large egg, vanilla whey powder (24g protein),  cinnamon, vanilla and stevia-inulin blend.

Dinner
Roasted turkey breast on Spring Mix greens with baby spinach, red cabbage and balsamic vinaigrette.

After-Gig Snack
I don't know if this is a snack, or if it is tomorrow's breakfast (likely), but, since it occurred before I went to sleep, I'm putting it here.

After i am Fool's successful gig, at 3 in the morning we went to a nearby Denny's, where I had the Meat Lover's omelet, whose contents I can only guess at, but assume they were almost entirely protein and fat.

Liquid Intake
Coffee:  42 oz.   Water:  104+ oz.
