Hours after writing my one-line daily comment yesterday that all was well... Something has happened.
I can't put my finger on it, and, really, it may be just my chronic sleep deficit, but with the beginning of the work week today, I find myself feeling a little 'down' for no reason.
At least none I can think of.
I don't know why this happens, but when it does, everything looks less good, everything less promising.
History is revised downward. What I was happy with yesterday seems less satisfactory in today's light. And the future looks more challenging, too. There's the clue.
Something has knocked me out of my sense of the present.
I don't know what it is. I don't feel sick, but I can feel this dislocation physically.
I also realize that, in the process of everything changing (as it always does) nothing has changed. I got no bad news, came to no new insights.
WTF?
The good news? As with all things, this too will pass. Meanwhile, as I wait for that, it doesn't feel particularly good.
So it goes.

Well, at least it isn't a second weight-gain. Although the lack of a real loss is something of a mystery given the low number of calories consumed yesterday.

ReplyDeleteThat's a bit of an improvement - Doris Day song quote gives way to David Bowie. Love you, Ken
Deletehaha. Listened to your music yesterday. Loved it. Love Joan
ReplyDeleteSo glad! I am much happier with the final mix than the previous final mix (which turned out to be a mistake - containing 6 back-leveled tracks).
DeleteI think we're about a week, two on the outside, from putting the CD on sale. I got to be in charge of making that happen, because I fronted the money to manufacture the CD and buy the distribution package.
We'll see how that goes. We have to sell almost 200 copies to make back our investment. Given that we've never been able to draw that many people to one of our shows (although we've played to that large a crowd as a lower-billed act), we're hoping that the CD release helps get us new gigs and more fans, which would help us sell CDs, which would help us get new gigs and fans, etc. This will hopefully end up with our ruling the world.
Which would be something of an improvement over the current Masters of the Universe.
that would be Jay livingston and ray evans, now david bowie
