#3054: Monday, July 3, 2023: Happy birthday, Little Sister

Daily Comment
Possibly the second-most important, and oldest-living important person in my life turns seventy today. My sister is one amazing person. She is married to a crazy man, but their marriage created a wonderful family. My niece and nephew are remarkable people. 

I love my sister unconditionally. I have regrets, like anyone who has grown and changed in their lifetime, and my biggest is that I mistreated people I loved before I gained some measure of maturity and learned better. 

I can't undo that, but I have taken actions in the last fifty-plus years to make amends. As I never stop loving the 'victims,' I will never stop making those amends.

Happiest of birthdays, and better things to come, my dear Joan.

Today's Weight:                    200.3 lbs.
Previous Weight (6/30/23):         201.1 lbs.

Diet Comment
Good news on the weekend. Until Sunday, when I had a late night snack after playing at my regular Sunday night open mic, I had maintained my 16:8 intermittent fast schedule for three days, losing more than two pounds in that time. I'll get back on track with that today.

Food Log
Breakfast
2:10pm:
Oatmeal with wild blueberries (rolled oats, chia and hemp seeds, wild blueberries, kefir, Greek yogurt, nutritional yeast, mushroom powder, cacao nibs, cinnamon, stevia). Not shown: scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese.
Lunch
7:15pm: Turkey-guac roll-up (roasted turkey breast, guacamole, greens, on a low-carb tortilla). A Quest bar.

Dinner
9:30pm: Nuts and dark chocolate

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 1;   Coffee: 20 oz.;  Water: 56+ oz.;
