It is Super Bowl Sunday, and I don't care. The earlier of my two regular Sunday open mics is cancelled. That I care about.
I go to the later one, and when I arrive, everybody is watching the game. I say, simply, "I could have stayed home for this. If there isn't going to be any music, I'm leaving."
The response is actually relief. Not only do most of the members of the house band express appreciation that I showed up wanting to hear and play music, but they invite me to sit in and play the whole house band set.
I had a ball.

Although there's no weight loss, there's no gain and the trend-line moves in a favorable direction, which is the goal of my current diet - to flatten the trend-line completely.

Lunch
Cocoa-Kale-hemp protein shake (Almond milk, hemp seeds, kale, chia seeds, a large egg, cocoa, vanilla whey powder (24g protein), cinnamon, stevia-inulin blend).
Dinner
Chicken sausage with feta cheese and spinach and broccoli with Shahi Rajma (red bean curry). |
Snack
Half of a deviled egg, sausage and peppers, guacamole at the bar after I had played and the Super Bowl was over. Back at home, cole slaw and hard-boiled eggs.
Liquid Intake
Coffee: 30 oz, Water: 100+ oz

I am going to finish all the fruit I have and go back to the low carb south beach type diet. I think I feel and do better on that plan. I am glad your music is making you happy. Love you
