Sunday breakfast with Merv and Lena.

Driving out to Queens, I take a short nostalgia tour of the old 'hood.
17-32 166th Street (downstairs). Home from 1956-1966.
A stop for a snack in places that were a shoe repair shop when I was growing up, and the mini-vacation continues with another home-made meal with friends. The upbeat conversational flow continues, and on I go, to Marc and Ilene's, for more home cooking (topped by some Madison Avenue pastries) and conversation, the topics being music and computers and my retirement plans (I never get tired of that!) ending up with an Irish whiskey tasting that was... wonderful and staggering, so to speak.

The good times roll on.

Food Log
Breakfast
At Elephant and Castle:
The Greenwich omelet: Bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, onions, peppers (okay, it's just a Western omelet with a fancy name, but it was really good!) and sourdough bread.

Lunch
At Gigi's Pizza and Aphrodite's Sweets:

Caesar salad pizza (romaine, basil, slices of grilled parmesan cheese).
Fresh chocolate cheesecake.

Dinner
At Marc and Ilene's:
Ribs and rice with pasta. Not shown: Spinach salad and a variety of cheesecakes. Then, a spectacular assortment of Irish Whiskey, including a 400th anniversary Bushmill, aka Bushmills 1608. Not my favorite, but amazing and weird and excellent, still. Triple-pun intended.

Liquid Intake
Coffee:  lots of it, too many different times to track,  Water:  see: Coffee
