February 18 - On Vacation

Daily Comment

Lunch with old friend Dale, who I am grateful to have reconnected with, after I treated her rather badly years ago. Glad to have the opportunity to apologize and put that all behind us.

In catching up, we discussed all the stuff that had happened, and how we came out on the  good side of it all.

Of course, we discussed my retirement plans (I never get tired of that!). She remembered me planning to expatriate ten years ago, so wasn't quite as surprised about it, although she did show a little skepticism about my health care claims. Everybody brings their own set of priorities to the discussion.

After lunch, the long ride home. This vacation was almost as exhausting as it was fun.

At Niu Noodle:
Sizzling steak and fried noodles. Not shown: tempura calamari.

Dinner
Just before arriving home, a bag of wasabi almonds (and more coffee). Then, hard-boiled eggs and guacamole. Finally, a cocoa-kale-hempseed-protein shake: Almond milk, kale, cocoa, hemp seeds, chia seeds, vanilla whey powder (24g protein),  cinnamon, stevia-inulin blend.

Liquid Intake   
   Coffee:  32 oz.   Water:  112+ oz.   Green tea: 16 oz.
