I am losing my mind.

No, check that, I have lost my mind, I only feel like I am losing it.

I went to work today with two different shoes on. No, not two different socks. Two different shoes.

I cannot account for this. It isn't that they're similar. They aren't the same color. They don't feel the same on my feet, since they have very different soles, insoles, cushioning. One's a slip-on, the other needs to be 'tied' (velcroed? Is that a word?).

Is this a sensory hallucination?

How spaced out can a person be? I did not go to work early, was not rushed when I left, and my shoes are the next-to-last thing I put on before I left my house and walked down the stairs and out in the melting snow to my car.

How did I get all the way to my car, drive to work, and only notice that my shoes were different after I parked in the lot and got out of my car?

Man, oh, man. Here I was, thinking I was so cool.

  1. Don't be so hard on yourself. At least you seem to have gotten each on the correct foot.

  2. I agree with the above. I frequently get to work with different socks on. Haha. Nobody's perfect. Made me laugh, at least. Love you
