Daily Comment
Met up with old play-mate Ronnie Dark at Shifty's open mic. It was the first time I'd seen him in more than two years. The last time I saw him I was laying down the bass line for a track on his (still upcoming) surf album, only days before I left on my winter travels in 2019.
Been a minute.
Ronnie has been avoiding playing in these types of things for a while, but I convinced him to have a reunion jam, and it was awesome (at least, for me). I did get to show a side of myself (Ken the rocker) Shifty's never saw before, in all the years I've been going. This was mine and Ronnie's space that we carved out for ourselves over the years at Mac's Bad Art Bar, where Ronnie hosted the open mic for around eight years.

So, fun night - saved from disappointment when the Jimi Marley Project never got to play at the Night Drop. I know there's going to be some discussion about that.
Bit of business - no post tomorrow, I'll be traveling to the Canadian border to do my Global Entry interview (easy pass through US customs).
Today, I'm exceedingly grateful for the music.

Diet Comment
Two big bounces in a row, one up, one - today's - down. I can't explain either, I ate similarly in front of both. Possibly yesterday's low water intake contributed to today's drop in weight, that's the only thing I can think of.
Lunch
9:00pm, at the Night Drop: cheese and crackers.

11:50pm: Vite-ramen miso soup with spinach, kale and mushrooms.
