First real snow of the year. Not too bad, but also, nothing good.

I was almost completely finished setting up for tonight's open mic at the InsideOut Tavern when I got the call that it was canceled due to "shitty weather". Since I was the only member of Modafferi present, it wasn't exactly a surprise, but it was, nonetheless disappointing.

I had to message the people who had asked me if it was still happening, which I had replied to with a solid yes, that I'd been wrong.

This is the part of Syracuse life that I don't like. Syracuse is arguably the worst city in the US to spend the winter in. If the snow doesn't inconvenience you, you had better be into Syracuse University sports. I'm not.

SU basketball is a big deal here. Football, too, but less. But SU sports in general happily inconvenience the fans (who not only don't mind the traffic and interruption of all other activities, but welcome them.

For me, it too often means that I can't start making music until the game is over.

I got my new MacBook Air. It seems wonderful. Unfortunately, getting it up to cover the things I need to do during travel, which is its raison d'etre, is going to be a lot of work and some additional expense.

So it goes. Life is good, and if I'm able to keep showing up, it'll get even better. At least, most ways. I have so much to be grateful for.

Today's Weight:                      199.2 lbs.
Previous Weight (11/14/18):          198.4 lbs.
Net Loss/Gain:                       + 0.8 lbs.

Diet Comment
There's a one-day bounce that equals... nothing. I gained yesterday what I lost the day before. Why? I think it might have been the higher-than-usual carbs and calories from breakfast, Or the high-calorie dinner. Or the combination. But if it is just the former, than I expect to lose it again today. That, at any rate, is the intent.

Food Log
Breakfast
3:35pm: 
Cabbage, chard, kale, spinach, cabbage, roasted turkey breast, bacon, shaved Parmesan cheese, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette.
Lunch
11:10pm:
Dal Tadka (lentil curry) with kale on riced cauliflower with a sprinkle of hemp seeds.
Dinner
1:20am: Dubliner cheese.

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 1;   Coffee: 0 oz.;  Tea: 0 oz.;  Water: 68+ oz.;
