Medical stuff has been on my mind.
Finally got the results of an ultrasound. I have a small, symptom-less and pain-free hernia. Other suspicious lumps found inside (neck and stomach-aorta) were nothing.
What a relief.
Musically, things are going very well. Modafferi has been hosting an open mic since November 1, and that, my other regular jams, and rehearsals, have provided plenty of playing time. I feel like I'm playing better than ever, and I've been getting some totally unsolicited (and at least partly unexpected) compliments on it, too.
I'm a month away from taking off for Lisbon and beginning my Winter trips, which end in New Orleans in March (technically, they'll probably end in North Carolina in March). To that end, I've decided to make some expensive purchases.
First off, I bought a travel backpack, which is a very different from a hiking or computer backpack. It is more like a suitcase with a computer sleeve and an external pocket, with complete backpack mounting. My hope is to carry-on everything I need for my two out-of-country trips.
I've also decided to buy a new MacBook Air. The Acer (Windows) computer I bought last year continues to disappoint, especially at home, where it doesn't seem to be able to get along with my internet router, In order to do this, I've had to dip into my investments, but in the long run, I think it is for the best.
Life is good, continues to surprise and entertain, and I'm still so undeserving and grateful.
