Of course I've known for years that you can't always get what you want. Even before the Stones came out with their mind-blowing cut of that name on Let It Bleed. These days, though, I've qualified that statement a bit.

You can get what you want, sometimes, maybe even often, as soon as you let go of trying to control the means by which the desired thing is delivered.

It's kind of the old Faust thing: You want to be rich, so you make a bargain with the Devil, and end up being wealthy, but without a way to enjoy your wealth.

I think it's better to think about what you want, and in the present moment, do something consistent with this outcome.

Show up. Act like the thing you want has already been delivered (just not unwrapped, as it were). Move in its direction.

Don't plan how you're going to achieve it. If time is an illusion, you already have it, just let it unfold.

That's more like it. Today's dining out will probably be a one-day stall in the trend, but the trend is in place.

Food Log
Breakfast
BioTrust Organic Protein Bar. One of only two that are actually consistent with my eating plan (gluten-free, low sugar, high protein and high fiber).

Lunch
At Ling-Ling's Chinese Buffet and Grill:
Brussels sprouts, kimchee, and, from the "Mongolian Grill", my go-to dish: pork and chicken with cabbage, onions, mushrooms, green peppers and broccoli. This is the same meal, and the same picture, as always.

Dinner
At Eskapes Lounge:  Lentil soup, Mediterranean salad, BLT salad with blackened salmon.

Snack
BioTrust Organic Protein Bar.

Liquid Intake
Coffee:  28 oz.   Water: 100+ oz.  A glass of pinot noir, and a shot of Jameson's.

  1. I wish I had your faith. Colds take 3 weeks to get over- that is probably why you are tired. Love you
