The weather couldn't have been much worse - it started snowing in the morning and was still snowing when I got home at 1:30. The temperature at load-in was 1 lonely degree.
But there was a great crowd, and I thought we put on an excellent show, and Rusted Root was very good - much better than the studio recordings I was familiar with.
I hope i am Fool made some new fans. The merch sales were okay - we sold some - and hopefuly, people will find our web site and FB page.
Of course, the early load-in and train-schedule start-and-end times meant that I skipped dinner at the normal time, and ate it at the traditional post-gig breakfast, instead, so I was famished. That isn't going to help my just-forming 2014 weight trend-line.
Here're a couple of phone-pics from the show:

I'm still leaving the old chart up until I have a more data for 2014. I figure it will take a few more days to correct the New Year's Eve feeding frenzy, although tonight's pre- and post-gig eating aren't going to help that effort.

From these pix and the ones on Facebook it appears that a splendid time was had by all! And I'm guessing the most noteworthy performance yet by the band. At the very least a terrific experience. "All's well that ends well." --Dan R.
ReplyDeleteIt was certainly a good time, and it was the best exposure the band has had. The audience and (perhaps more importantly) the promoters gave the band a lot of love, and I got to see Rusted Root for free! You are 100% right, Dan - it did end well.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
