By the end of the workweek, having gone out after work to play or support the local music scene, I'm just beat.
Still, I try to support the music scene. I'll usually try to catch friends' bands, try to get some rest before going out. Most of the time, it makes for an early-ish night - I bonk at some point around midnight.
Of course, if I have a gig, well, I do the best I can. Playing energizes me, and I usually don't have any difficulty at all making it through the gig alert.
However, once the gig is over, and packing up is going on, my well-earned tiredness competes with the residual high I have from performing; it loses, until the high dissipates.
Whether I've gone out to the clubs and bars, or finally finished gig-related stuff, I have to hurry home. I'm crashing.

Okay. The way I ate yesterday, this was completely expected. I did much better today, and need to continue on to tomorrow.
