Irrespective of the validity of the feedback, the concern for me is that I didn't realize that was the case. My internal critic was surprised.
Now, I know I'm not a strong singer, so I pick and choose my material trying to find songs I like that I can do a moderately good job with. Songs that I can sing and play bass on at the same time are few, and neither the singing nor the bass-playing can be complicated for me to pull that off.
Still, there's this cognitive dissonance happening now. A song I've been singing for 45 years, Sitting at the Dock of the Bay, was singled out as being, at least on occasion, pitchy to the point of being hard to listen to.
I admit to feeling a little hurt, and I had to work through that.
I've always thought I was a good-enough, if not very good, singer. I know my singing is weak compared to my bass playing. But there was a time, long ago, when people wanted to hear me sing. Maybe I'm kidding myself, and that time is past. Maybe I should limit my public singing to backups.
Th something to work out. If my perception of my singing is totally whack, I need to know.

A little surprised by the lack of loss, but I shouldn't be.
Food Log
BreakfastDue to a power outage that affected both my home and my office, I ended up eating from the salad bar at Wegman's. I had egg salad, roast chicken breast, tuna salad, shrimp salad, and baby spinach and Spring Mix.
Lunch
A kale protein shake (almond-coconut milk, kale, raw organic cacao powder, hemp seeds, hemp protein (7g protein), chia gel, whey powder (24g protein), cinnamon, celery and stevia-inulin blend.
Dinner
Pepperoni and cheese, and a Quest bar.
Snack
A Quest Bar.
Liquid Intake
A kale protein shake (almond-coconut milk, kale, raw organic cacao powder, hemp seeds, hemp protein (7g protein), chia gel, whey powder (24g protein), cinnamon, celery and stevia-inulin blend.
Pepperoni and cheese, and a Quest bar.
