I think I have to take responsibility for the problem (my involvement is the common denominator among recent miscommunications with at least four different people). My skills at self-expression, whatever they are, simply don't translate to IMs, tweets, or texts.
It isn't surprising - all messages we externalize are messages to ourselves. Even when addressed to some particular other person. Our internal language is well-known only to ourselves.
I know what I'm saying and I know what I mean when I write. What I apparently don't know and cannot divine is how it will be read/perceived by the receiver. Apparently, I am writing in code, and everybody else has a different decoder ring.
I've told all my friends that texting/messaging information is okay. Asking yes-or-no questions, also good...
Other than that, call me on the phone and talk to me. Please.
And, ask me questions, especially if you think I'm not making myself clear, or being negative or unreasonable.

Okay. The way I ate yesterday, this was completely expected. I did much better today, and need to continue on to tomorrow.

Quest Bars. Yeah, I know.
