I did get a useful gift, though, a tiny ("pocket-sized") rubber chicken from Tami, who noted, "Everybody feels a little foolish with a rubber chicken in their pocket."
Ain't it the truth.
I came out of the meeting well-fed, over-fed, and very happy. It was a wonderful way to cap off my birthday. But I wasn't finished until I'd had a piece of cake and some chocolates. Wow.
Today, after that outrageous cheat day, I was feeling bloated and tired, and couldn't eat until lunchtime, when I had breakfast. Then, after work, I had booked dinner and a movie, Zero Dark 30, as another birthday celebration, with Al.
Sigh. It was impossible to sleep through the movie, but I came out so-o-o tired. If the tickets hadn't been purchased in advance, I'd have canceled.
I need sleep. And weight loss. Mostly, sleep right now.

Diet Comment
The fact that my weight is up only two pounds today is testimony to how much it had already gone up since the weekend. And, as a result of yesterday's cheat, I was not hungry - in fact, I was stuffed. I couldn't bring myself to eat breakfast for breakfast, so I ate it for lunch. And then, I was stuffed until dinner.

Good birthday. I am glad you had a good one. Equador seems closer to me so I am glad. Love, Joan
