#2580. Thursday, January 7, '21: COVID mood

Daily Comment
I got tested for COVID-19 again today. It's my fifth test since May.

I have 't been thriving under the pandemic restrictions. I will say that the lockdown has been, for the most time, the best time to be recovering from a heart attack. Lifestyle-wise, I didn't miss anything in my recuperation i wouldn't have missed if I'd never gotten open heart surgery.

Yes, I'm following the silver lining playbook.

I am missing my lifestyle, and I haven't found any substitute activities - zoom meetings, new hobbies, self-improvement projects - inspiring enough to compensate, even in part. 

So it goes - that's on me. I'm the one who smokes the pot, I'm the one who turns on the TV, or opens up the computer.

I'm biding, and abiding, anyway. I'm waiting to see what my world is like in six months. I'm looking forward to that adventure.

I'm grateful for all that I have, and certainly not dwelling on what I don't have
.

Food and Diet 
Today's Weight:                    
202.7 lbs.
Previous Weight (1/6/21):          201.9 lbs.
Net Loss/Gain:                     + 0.8 lbs.

Diet Comment
Nothing natural happens in a straight line, I guess. If you look at my weight chart for any time period, when I was using actual weight (not estimates for periods when I wasn't home and not weighing myself), there are no straight lines for more than three days. My understanding is, that that is normal. Anyway, the trend is down, I'm happy.

Food Log
Breakfast
2:45pm: Oatmeal plus (steel-cut oats, chia seeds, hemp seeds, wild blueberries, raspberries and blackberries, cinnamon, whey protein, stevia, kefir). Turkey bacon.

Lunch
7:45pm: Salmon salad (salmon, homemade mayonnaise, celery, arugula, cabbage, chard, kale and spinach). 

Dinner
10:40pm: Finished my bag of Keto nut mix (almonds, walnuts, pepitas, macadamia nuts, cheese balls, hazelnuts). And a Quest bar.

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 2;   Coffee: 24 oz.;  Water: 60+ oz.;
