Bradshaw Blues is on hiatus for at least three months, while Chad heals from Sunday's crash.
Suddenly, I have time on my hands.
So far, I've used that time to nap. I got a good result there, in that I am, for a change, well-rested today. I think that is also manifested in a rather nice one-day weight-loss.
Tonight I went to an open mic. Tomorrow I'll do it again. And Sunday, I'll go to two.
Gotta keep pursuing my bliss, I guess.
In the silver-linings department, my lack of band activity will allow me to reclaim the seat-back from my car, removed to make room for equipment (mainly an upright bass that has yet to appear in my life), which will make some of this weekend's activities easier, safer and more pleasant.
Something's always changing. That's the main takeaway. I'm trying to stay open to what is unfolding, always (because something's always changing). Because shit isn't going to stop happening based on my notion of what's convenient.
Shit just happens.

ReplyDeleteI went to dr yesterday and was diagnosed with hip bursitis and got a corisone shot. I think it is feeling somewhat better but it takes two days to work. So, per usual, all that worry for naught. Well not for naught, I got to talk to Andy.
ReplyDeleteSo,no operation needed now. Great! It brings me great pleasure, whenever i speak with you.

me, too. Started meditation. trying to think of my feelings as just passing monkey thoughts
DeleteHe did say I will need knee replacements in the future but I am not worrying about that.
ReplyDeleteJoan, I really like the things you're writing here. I think meditation is a great way to make 'real' time for your 'real' self. I have found it very, very rewarding (hence, doing it all these years). Much love, Ken
ReplyDeleteThanks. Love you too.
