It's a new 'now'. Always.

I don't cry over spilt milk.

Any negativity you ever read here should be re-read as reportage of the past. There is no negativity (or, for that matter, positivity) right now.

I know, I forget often, too, which is evidence of me not being mindful of the present (oops, it just passed into history) (again).

All concept of time is illusory. Only now exists. We call a string of past 'nows' time, and the collective version of them history.

At least, that's what I thought when I wrote this.

Feelings reflect a person's perception of the past, not the present, and so must always be regarded as a bit suspicious. Remember, by the time you 'feel' something, whatever triggered that feeling already happened (even if it is continuous, the trigger happened in the past). 

Not only that, but 99% of all feelings are dredging up past responses to past stimuli. It's a time-spiral, but not paradoxical. The Worm Ouroboros - a serpent eating its own tail. That's time. 

Don't get caught at either 'end'.

Diet Comment
Yesterday's Quest Bar-heavy day, with a bit of off-plan wheat-eating in the wraps/rollups at the VA event seems to have allowed me to continue my loss. I'm now at the lowest weight of the Summer, and at a three-month low.


Food Log 
Breakfast
A cocoa-hemp-kale protein shake (almond-coconut milk, kefir, kale, large organic egg, whey powder (24g protein), hemp seeds, hemp protein (7g protein), raw organic cacao powder, chia gel, celery, moringa leaf powder, cinnamon and stevia-inulin blend.

Lunch
Salmon salad (Wild Alaska pink salmon, celery, mayonnaise) on baby kale, baby spinach, chard, black beans and cole slaw mix.
Dinner
Pepperoni and kimchee.


Snack
Slice of pizza.


Liquid Intake
   Coffee:  22 oz.   Water: 92+ oz.

  2. So I went to have my carotid ultrasound. Everything ok. I have hip bursitis, I think and am going to see an orthopod next Wednesday.

  3. Well, aren't you Ms Good-news/bad-news. Glad the ticker's okay, sorry to hear about the bursitis. I hope the orthopedist's report (isn't an orthopod a spider or octopus? jk) is helpful and positive (in the helpful, not the diagnostic sense)

  4. I do too. I don't know. I have always called them orthopods I will look it up. lol.. I remember going to a chiropodist as a child.
