I am very cynical when it comes to two things: Politics (the US variety) and religion (any). I have no time for either, and regard them both as antithetical to my well-being.

As far as I can tell, anybody who wants to do anything with a combination of religion and politics is dangerous. The idea that there is only one right way to do anything, only one correct belief system, only one way to think breeds terrorists.

I don't like hearing people say the US is a Christian nation. I don't like it because I don't like Christianity, and I think that people who say this are trying to destroy the separation of Church and State, one of the fundamental truths I was brought up on.

And that seems to be the direction the country is headed in.

I don't want to interact with anybody who believes their religion is the only one with the right answers.

When it comes to politics, I'm just tired of being lied to. And tired of feeling disenfranchised, and, well, at this point, with only a few politicians who seem to belong to the same species as me, I'm tired of caring.

I want to go someplace where people don't care about this country's politics.

This does not mean I don't have opinions. I think Democrats are a smidge better than Republicans, societally, but that doesn't say much. Both parties seem to serve the same corporate masters.

Present company excepted, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Dennis Kucinich.

  1. i went back to my response to yesterdays blog comment, and realized that i reacted to the wrong thing, your musings, rather than the point, that you were happy before you noticed it. i ignored what you wrote. i apologize for that.

i hold politics and religion in a similar regard to you. Along with societies, capitalism, education (not the concept, but the institution), corporations\ and anything else that seeks to improve on nature, or change its course in any way, rather than to adapt to it.. But what are you going to do? The distribution of enlightenment seems to be uneven and all over the place. There doesn't seem to be any concentration of highly enlightened people anywhere (still they might be hidden in secret places). To me ,taking this into consideration, one place is as good as another. you'll always be surrounded by people both more and less conscious than you.. i hope that you always have everything satisfying and necessary and strength when you do not. i love you the wheel keeps on turning.
