I had a very nice weekend. Saturday I had a wedding gig with a blues band put-together for the occasion. All friends I have played with a lot in the past, and it was a lot of fun. We made some good music, too.

It was a private party about ten minutes from my apartment, in a part of Liverpool I had never been to - where the street dead-ended at a river, part of the old Erie Canal system. The weather was gorgeous, and boaters passed and waved all afternoon.

I am so happy to have lived long enough to see people smoking pot openly. Not my first wedding gig, by far, but the first time someone had a joint for me at every break, and nobody cared, nobody tried to be stealthy about it.

A wonderful aspect of the new world, in my opinion.

It was a long day. I was totally played after I got home that evening.

I was still tired Sunday, and I relaxed into the evening, consequently, I was late getting to the Sunday night jam. But once I got there, I had a good time. I got to lead a set, and it was a lot of fun. It was also very well received.

I'm always grateful for being able to make music.
