I finished the summer tonight with a nice (meaning, pain-free) neighborhood walk.
Earlier today, I had my follow-up visit to the urologist. Tests were done, and he declared my urinary tract to be functioning "very well." My continued problem with occasional 'urgency', then, would require medication. So, a new prescription is added to the four I still take post-bypass.
Its effects won't be seen for four-to-six weeks.
Also, on the weekend, the guitarist for the band I put together to host the Night Drop Blues Jam dropped out, and was replaced by a less-exciting, but very competent long-time friend and guitarist, with the benefit of knowing my material and, possibly, helping with the PA.
I also got excellent sleep this weekend, Friday and Saturday night giving me more than eight hours. That is beyond unusual. It is rare.
Saturday was the day of the Fool Fest, aka Town of Minoa Festival. It felt awful, to be honest, being there and not playing. So disappointing. But as the day wore on, I got over it, and enjoyed myself, and then, I actually did get to play, invited by my friend Frank to do some songs in his set.

Unfortunately, he also subbed the drummer, and it was a lot more difficult than it should have been. Funny enough, he asked me to come to a performance Sunday afternoon, and did the same thing - with the same sub drummer. It was worse.
Still, I'm grateful for the opportunities, the friendships, the weather - all of it. I'm glad to be alive.

Diet Comment
A bit of a gain over the weekend, thanks to multiple times dining out. I gain weight almost every time I get the spicy chicken sandwich at Popeye's - it's the only fast-food I like, and it is a carb- and fat-bomb. Gannon's yesterday wasn't helpful, and my high-calorie evenings are catching up with me. I must try to do better.
