I went to see an orthopedic surgeon today.
My knees were x-rayed. Replacements were discussed. It's a forty-five minute operation, then three months of physical therapy, per knee, done consecutively.
But, no sooner than a year after my heart surgery, which puts the start date somewhere in the late Summer, early Fall of 2021.

I need to line up a place to stay where I can get help in the period immediately following each surgery, for a week, maybe two.
Something to look forward to. My knees have negatively impacted my lifestyle for a long time, and I will be very happy (well, happier) when they're not an issue.
The only thing is, I thought this appointment was about my peripheral artery disease in my lower right leg, not about knees at all. Fixing that problem, which has been bothering me since Lisbon, almost two years ago. It's also something my cardiologist has given me approval today before the normal one-year waiting period.

I'm going to get a stent in my leg, and I'll be walking out of the outpatient procedure when and where it's done. The dye-injected test that determines where to put the stent is something that was scheduled in August, but the appointment was canceled due to my heart attack.
I need to get that on track.
