#2517, Monday, October 5. '20: Pet loss

Daily Comment
I don't have much to say about my day. I got some heartbreaking news, Mac, the American bulldog I lived with when I was staying with Melissa and J., had to be put down.

Only one week after Reggae, Marco and Sophie's Irish Wolfhound, my constant companion in Florida for the last six years, was also lost.

I feel the loss as if it were people. For the most part, dogs are better than people.

Me? Over the weekend I didn't do much, but Mitch the maintenance man came and replaced my door-buzzer/intercom, and now I can get packages! In the nine years I've lived here, I've only gotten two packages that needed signature. I've had to pick up every other shipment from UPS.

I really didn't do a lot. There was some TV. I went over to Darren's, he needed to get high, I could help.

The weather has been Fall-perfect. Night's are cold already. Leaves are turning, looking like it's going to be fantastic season. I'm grateful for that.

Diet Comment
I had a pretty good weekend, overall - it was actually Friday's eating that added weight, most of which I dropped, leaving just a little bit more to drop to get even.

Food Log
Breakfast
11:40am: 
Sautéed kale, spinach, mushrooms, onions with smoked salmon and eggs; avocado toast (Ezekiel 4:9 Flax sprouted grain bread).

Lunch

7:25pm: Plums, walnuts and Greek yogurt, and a low-carb chocolate and nut bar.

Dinner
9:35pm: 
Arugula, cabbage, chard, kale, spinach, roasted turkey breast, shaved parmesan cheese, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette. Not shown: a Quest bar and cottage cheese.
Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 0;   Coffee: 24 oz.;  Water: 60+ oz.;
