I left for Florida ten days ago, on a pretty nice Saturday.
I drove twelve hours to my friend Jerry in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
We spent Sunday talking, catching up, then, Monday morning, I drove nine hours to Wilbur on the Sea, Florida (just south of Daytona Beach). I got there about eight o'clock.
We spent Tuesday talking and catching up, then Wednesday we went boating and fishing in the Bay, since the ocean was too rough for fishing.
When we got back from a great day of fishing, the evacuation warnings started coming. I helped with the hurricane prep for a while, but when I had done pretty much everything I could, and the decision had been made to evacuate, I left.
I drove all night, and Thursday morning I arrived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, just as my friend Ken was getting his kids off to school and himself off to sleep.
I slept all day, then booked a hotel room outside Harrisburg, PA, and drove there in about seven hours.
I got back home last Friday, after an eight-hour drive.
Saturday, I played at a benefit. On a break, I called my friends down in Florida. I found out they rode out the hurricane inland, and returned to find the house mostly okay, with some minor exterior damage, no interior problems.
Something to be grateful for!

Oh, my little SNAFU'd vacation took a toll. I did not eat well most of the time I was traveling, and was at several parties without on-plan options. In the ten days since my last weigh-in, only the last two were on-plan.
