#1553, Thursday, December 3: No more i am... Fool!

There's an old, old joke that goes like this: 
A man appears before the judge petitioning to have his name changed, because people keep laughing at him. The judge says, "Let me see: Elmer Schitsinispantz. I can see why you might want to change your name. What would you like your new name to be?"
 The man replies, "Elwood Schitsinispantz".
Rim shot.

I am Fool is changing its name.

The new name? Fool.

If there is a benefit to that, it is when someone announces us, or I answer the question, "What band are you in?".

All right, maybe it's just for the announcer, who no longer has to say, "And now, i am Fool!". Seems silly to me, too.

I know the name has been a problem (not with me), and has probably cost us gigs in the past, although I felt we had turned the corner on that, having had the one guy who expressed the biggest hangup with the name actually hire us. Joke's on him, I guess. If he'd waited a few weeks, he could have hired Fool.

I didn't have any input into the decision, but if I had, I wouldn't have had anything to say, anyway. The best gigs I've ever played in the last five-plus years have been with i am Fool. I imagine all the good stuff to come will be with Fool.

No diff to me.

Diet Comment
Eating pita bread with dinner. Having two shots of whiskey while hanging out at an open mic. And yet, I still managed to maintain, and even better, make progress at my goal of getting to a new 2015 low weight in the next four weeks. (I just made that goal up, because, with only two-and-a-half pounds to go, it is at hand).

Omelet with peppers, onion, greens, cheese and bacon.

Dinner 
Dal tadka over broccoli, and whole milk ricotta cheese (a lot of it - if I gain weight tomorrow, this impulse buy is why).

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 1Coffee:  24 oz.;  Water: 84+ oz.
