Locally, there are two things worth noting: First, and most unusual, is that Syracuse has been spared any meaningful snowfall so far this season. This is my sixth Winter here, and the first with little/no snow to this date.
Secondly, there is an epidemic of pneumonia, flu and stomach virus going around. Almost all my friends up here have or have had one or more of these. So far, not me, but I woke up today with some very minor symptoms, and I'm hoping that nothing develops and it is just hypochondria. Or, if not, that my immune system is strong enough to keep me healthy.
One of the aforementioned symptoms is that I woke up hungry. That almost never happens, thanks to my chronic late nights and accompanying late-night snacks.
I hear you asking, "So what?" Good question. My answer: "So, nothing to you." There's nothing to worry about, and there's a silver lining, in that it is distracting me from my slow-healing, nagging, though now only episodic, lower-back pain.
What it isn't doing is giving me any inspiration for something inspirational to write about here.
I managed to get through a long rehearsal with i am Fool, and then hunkered down, feeling pre-sick, still - but no worse than eighteen hours earlier...

Eating a big chunk of cheese at midnight, then weighing myself six-and-a-half hours later makes it look like I'm doing something wrong. I'm not.Diet Comment
