Here we are, at the end of another year.
I began this year weighing 206 pounds on January 1, I end it weighing 206.6 on New Year's Eve.
That isn't much change - statistically, it isn't any change at all.
During the course of they year, not much changed, although a lot seems to have happened. At least it seemed that way while it was happening.
Along the way, I extended a lengthy period of happiness in my life.
None of my family died, although a few moved. A couple of old friends passed along, but nobody in my closest circle.
I had no health issues, and stayed in the same place I've lived since 2010. I signed a new year lease on my apartment yesterday.
At the beginning of the year, I got new hearing aids, and that has had a wonderful, positive effect on my life.
My wealth increased, thanks to savings, but not by as much as I'd hoped, thanks to something else that has influenced my life positively: Lower gas prices. This good news has been bad news for some of my investments. I'm okay with that, not so okay with not realizing how those investments were connected to the price of oil. Oh, well, I'm diversified and still way ahead.
Yesterday, in something that looked like it could have been in a Three Stooges movie (except it only involved one stooge: Me), I pulled a muscle or two in my lower back. This laid me up. I missed posting my previous day's post and didn't post a new one. My New Year's Eve gig went well enough, although it was more taxing. In fact, I'm writing this days later, because I want to close out the year.
It's a bit better now.
But I missed a few days along the way, both of blogging and at work.
So it goes.
Happiest of new years, my dears!
