Tuesday, August 5 Gratitude cures frustration

I'm a little frustrated.

For one, my AC broke 10 days ago, the landlord still hasn't fixed it, and my top-floor apartment was hot last night, so I didn't sleep well. Take that into account as you read the rest.

Also, I'm a little angry with myself over my inability to stick with a diet plan and get these stubborn extra 10 pounds off. Bad me.

I'm also perfecting the art of procrastination with a work assignment not to my liking. Luckily, today has been a series of 'emergencies'. All required a wait-work-wait-repeat amount of attention. Most of them are unresolved at this point, but all are in the 'wait' part of the cycle.

Really, though, this is all bullshit. I'm at the pinnacle of the food chain, in good health, with no unmet needs. I have clearly won the lottery in this life, for all the bullshit that being alive in the material world entails.

I feel better already. Apparently, gratitude cures frustration. Not surprising, since gratitude can only happen in the present, what-is time frame.

Dinner
Buffalo-wing style chicken breast, pepperoni, and celery with home-made mayonnaise.

Liquid Intake
   Coffee:  32 oz.   Water: 130+ oz.
