#2373: Friday, October 25: My one goal

I have been executing my plan to learn Spanish and write three pages every day.

Not so much on my housecleaning, where I missed three days out of five this week.

With a crowded weekend ahead of me - I have a gig tonight, and a funeral and open mics taking up pretty much all of Sunday, with Saturday (with a late start virtually guaranteed by my gig tonight) left for necessary shopping trips. I will try and make up for what I didn't do in housecleaning on Saturday, but that will be the first thing I chuck if I need to.

There's precious little to keep me motivated to do things I don't enjoy, but looking at long-term pleasures and wants - like my move out of the US at the end of 2020 offers what little motivation I have to get my act together for those things.


It is difficult for me to stay on track doing the unpleasant tasks of life. That's led to them accumulating over years to their current embarrassing state, which is now a huge job, creating a formidable and difficult obstacle to achieving my one and only current goal: Living somewhere better than Here (that is, Syracuse, NY, and the US of A).

I truly have only that one goal. I want to expatriate. When I get back from my 2019 Winter travels, in March, 2020, that will be my focus and top priority, replacing music (which will be demoted to secondary priority), and anything that interferes will be set aside.

Except I am very prone to distraction.

Oh, well. I forgive myself. Now, and in advance.

I'm still grateful for whatever life brings my way, which is to say, I'm grateful for being alive.


Food and Diet 
Today's Weight:                    195.5 lbs.
Previous Weight (10/23/19):        196.4 lbs.
Net Loss/Gain:                     - 0.9 lbs.
Diet Comment
This represents a nice loss, although it does also represent a little dip below my usual water intake. Nonetheless, a good way to go into the weekend.

Food Log
Breakfast
Skipped.

Lunch
7:35pm: A burger with guacamole and a chopped salad (arugula, cabbage, chard, kale, spinach, feta cheese, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette.

Dinner
1:45am: Lentil and spinach curry on riced cauliflower, manchego cheese with almonds, and a Quest bar.

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 2;   Coffee: 0 oz.;  Water: 80+ oz.; a Jim Beam bourbon on the rocks.
