I don't usually write about my 'diet' (eating plan... food and lifestyle? Whatever) in this part of the blog.

But I just looked went back through the last few weeks posts, paying attention to some of the reasons why I have experienced a significant weight loss in that time.

One reason may be because I had a lingering cold... Or allergies. Although it decidedly did not change or influence the food I ate.

What I did notice was that all my eating was done within an eight-to-ten hour period, with almost all of that done within eight hours. That is intermittent fasting.

Also, most days I've only been eating two meals, with the first meal being the large one.

As of today, I am at my lowest weight in a long, long time (I write more about that below). Intermittent fasting (and its reduction in calories without changes in macronutrient consumption) may well be the reason.

I am grateful for my return to health.

Food and Diet

Diet Comment
I'm under 195 pounds for the first time in a very, very long time. I have lost eight pounds in the last four weeks, and almost eleven pounds(!) from my most recent high (which was September 15 at 204.9). I think it is due to my not-on-purpose intermittent fasting. Reviewing my last couple of weeks, there are only two days when I didn't eat within an eight-hour timeframe. Some historical perspective: I never weighed more than 190 pounds until I was 39 years old. At the height of my Hep-C chemo, at the end of 2004, when I was at my physical and mental worst, I weighed 189 pounds, and felt like shit. I feel fine now, and, although it's not a big deal for me, if I lose another four or even five pounds from here (it could happen!), I think I will feel great!
