I am feeling the effects of several days of dreary weather. We have had all-day-and-night rain for three days now, taking out the last remnants of the beautiful fall that just ended.
After yesterday's I am Fool rehearsal, I came home with the best intentions to do some of my cleanup project, but didn't. After scurrying out of my car in driving rain, when I climbed the stairs and walked into my apartment, I felt a drop in energy, weariness, and I got comfortable in front of the TV, where, except for getting up for food or the bathroom, I remained until I fell asleep.
Similarly, after getting tied up doing laundry, running in and out of the rain, and doing a few errands - pickup at UPS, a little grocery shopping - that kept me busy until early evening, I was spent when I came home to make a very late breakfast.
I couldn't face going out in the rain again, and bypassed my open mic options for TV. Not even good TV.
Not sleeping enough may also play a role.I have maintained my sudoku plays, my daily words and my Spanish lessons throughout, refusing to let my successful streaks end. These are the things I do on my computer, in bed, that start my day, when I am somewhat rested.
This will pass.
Tomorrow, I am going to make a concerted effort to get back on track with my cleaning, for instance. And I will attend a few concerts by bands on the weekend - I have some hope the weather will break. On Sunday, I will go out and play in the afternoon and evening.
I am not depressed. I feel a little off-track, probably residual hangover from my weeks of illness.
But ever-grateful for what life provides for me.
