Daily Comment
Today was another in the lazy day, binge TV (well, Hulu and Prime, anyway) kind of day.
This has rewarded me with some specially good content when I indulge, but currently I'm just addicted to one very good suspense/mystery series and one mediocre soap opera disguised as a teen superhero show.
Although I am mostly inactive, things do happen on these long lay-about days - I write a little (like here), do my Spanish lessons, cook, clean up after cooking, read a bit (on the computer, mostly, but I do have a real book nearby (The Four Agreements).
Sometimes I get an idea, which I either write down, schedule, or act on immediately.
And the day rolls on. Is it wasted? We'll see. Somewhere down the road, something I saw on the TV, or remembered about the food, or the book, or the idea, or the language lesson may come in handy. Or not.
Sometimes, going with the flow means one is carried quickly by a torrent, sometimes it means floating in near stillness.
The body and mind can withstand and appreciate both.
The balance is found in being grateful for the extremes, and everything in between.
