#2383: Friday, November 8: S.A.D. strikes with the weather

I'm suffering a little from S.A.D. These last couple of days have been cold and snowy, and I've allowed it to change my plans. Where I was going out, I haven't.

I have put off chores, and put my music on hold.

And, what have I replaced that time with? TV.

I'm usually very good with down time, and I don't mean time when I'm feeling down, which I am, just a little, right now.I'm talking about being easy with however things proceed. But I have let some things lapse, and I haven't filled them with anything of quality or productivity.

I have been able to help some friends in need along the way, but that's as good and as far as I've taken any remedial action on my mood.

The three-pages a day thing is pretty much over, although I may get back into it at some future time.


And the commitment to little bits of housecleaning has petered out as well.
I've seen some good shows, though. But escapist fare - fiction, fantasy, mysteries, suspense. Nothing that is enabling, forward moving. Just distractions I allow myself to fall into.

One thing I haven't given up on is my Duolingo Spanish lessons, which are, as of today, are ninety-four consecutive days in a row.

And my health is good and my weight management is in its best place ever!

My bit of S.A.D will pass - everything does. I'm looking forward to the playing I'm going to do over the next few weeks, and then the trip to LA and beyond.


I have a lot to be grateful for.

6:35pm:
Vegetarian sloppy Joe (Quorn Grounds, spinach, kale, Wegman's Grandpa's Sauce) on spaghetti squash with shaved parmesan. Not shown: A Quest bar.
Lunch
10:25pm: A Quest bar.

Dinner
3:55am: Almonds and Dubliner cheese, cole slaw, and a Quest bar.

Liquid Intake
   Espressos: 2;   Coffee: 0 oz.;  Water: 72+ oz.
