This day, hopefully, ends a very intense period at work. I have grown used to doing less, and, being lazy, enjoyed it more than all this activity.
I'm ready for the weekend. I have a bunch of friends playing around town tonight. I'll try and drop in at a few places. I have a bunch of friends playing tomorrow night, but I will be busy playing the last of a series of four one-a-month i am Fool concerts featuring all-original material, no covers. So, they can't see me, I can't see them.
My support of the local music scene began with open mics and extended to supporting my friends' bands. This has not only paid dividends, but has led me to give up other kinds of musical entertainment, like national touring groups, stadium and festival concerts, that used to be my bread and butter.
I was a regular attendee and saw literally hundreds of concerts at the Fillmore East back in the day, although by the time it closed, I hadn't been there in a year or more.
I saw dozens of concerts in Madison Square Garden, including many, many famous ones.
I went to music festivals. I went to concerts in Central Park.
Thanks for the memories, but I'm done with that. I no longer have interest in large-venue concerts or (especially) outdoor festivals. I'm done. The last one was Tedeschi-Trucks at the Beacon Theater last Fall. It doesn't work for me anymore.
Maybe I just got old. These days, I enjoy myself more getting my live-music fix among a dozen to a couple-hundred people, max, in more intimate bars and clubs, listening to my friends play.
I am more open and receptive, and I am just as likely to be entertained. Why? It feels less lonely. I am lonelier in a large crowd, and more aware of it.

Protein shake with almond-coconut milk, kefir, kale, large organic egg, whey powder (36g protein), hemp seeds, hemp protein (7g protein), raw organic cacao powder, chia gel, moringa leaf powder, cinnamon, celery and stevia-inulin blend.

Dinner
Hummus, with some quinoa-kale-other stuff chips and these seaweed things I bought on sale, both which were awful and will never appear here again.
