I had such a good day today!
To begin with, I got to spend some time with Alex via Zoom, and, although I had caught him up with my latest last night, he had some good news of his own. My day was off to a good start.
It was also a beautiful warm Fall day. I went for my longest uninterrupted walk since, well, Cuenca, Ecuador in February. Twenty minutes. Unlike back then, this walk was, wonder of wonders, pain-free! A subtle touch of soreness in my calf - but far from the usual painful cramping.

I felt it was a good workout, and I am now keeping an exercise log - I'm going to try and walk every day I don't have cardio rehab, and eventually get to thirty minutes a day, maybe more.
I also returned my heart monitor, which ended up meaning a trip to the post office, as the prepaid mailer wouldn't fit in a mailbox. My month of twenty-four-seven heart monitoring is complete - almost without incident. There was one time they called, I mentioned it in a previous post, that amounted to nothing. One more 'clean bill of health'. What keeps it from being boring is that I can never get enough good news.
I also did a load of laundry.
I count this as one of my most productive days that didn't involve medical appointments since my surgery.
I'm just grateful.
