Before the gig, though, I did sum up the week's trading activities. It was a good week, with all my ports up for the week.
The gig was pretty blah, though. A bit of work, being that there was a sub drummer who was mostly unfamiliar with the material. Given that there is quite a bit of the set list that I am not familiar with, or that have unique arrangements, that put a big burden on me to make the rhythm section work.
Still, a gig is a gig. I thought I played well - everybody was happy with me. But after the gig, I was tired, hungry, a little burnt out. So home, to veg out in front of the TV, with snacks.
I missed a gig with Scuba Gear tonight, having already committed to this gig, and kind of hated that, but I will be gigging with them Sunday night. I look forward to that - they're a better hang, and the music is both more challenging and fun.
This has been a bad week for my weight, and today, everything was on-plan. I hope to maintain this through the weekend, and come back with a weight-loss Monday.
I am very grateful to be able to keep showing up, even when, or especially when, bland days like this one still manage to fuel my happiness.
